You pay for it, you do it yourself.

Uh, you're gonna pay rent, you know, you're gonna get a job and you're you're an adult.

Like you figure it out.

And I need

Yeah.

But I found that I thrived when it was like, well, I better better make a drastic change in my life.

Got it.

And I decided I would go to school locally.

I went to UMass Boston, which was not a community college, but you could basically get in if you're from Massachusetts.

I got a job at a gym scanning ID cards at like 5 a.m.

to let people in.

I'd ride my bike there at like five in the morning and I'd scan ID cards and I'd go to the school.

I'd study philosophy because I thought I'd go to law school.

But um I sort of it was the first time I'm like, wow, I'm taking my life into my own hands and doing something on my own.

And it was like really powerful.

And then it was around the time that I'm realizing the power of I'm gonna be an adult, I'm gonna go to school, I'm gonna have a job, that I have that not chance encounter, but that really intense encounter with the two brothers, where I'm discovering that these guys I had written off as just random dudes at cookouts to like Navy SEAL commandos.

And I was so taken with what they did.

And they all talked about it being this calling to go be a SEAL.
