And I was like, uh, you know, I'll just I'll try telling this story because I think it's really cool.
Like I personally love scary, real stories.
So these these nine hikers, they're the most experienced hikers in Russia in 1959.
And they were going out to do what's called their level three hiking test, which is like the top mountaineering certification you could do in Russia at the time.
So if you pass this test, you are like the top mountaineer in the in the land.
And the way it works is it's sort of like when you get your PhD, you you do your own research, you sort of present your own stuff, you you build new information into the zeitgeist.
Well, with this, it's so ex this, this, this test is so advanced.
You plan the route and you show with how how hard it is to do this route that if you can complete this, you are a level three hiker.
And so you map it out and you give it to the whoever's administering the test.
But.
I think it's a university.
And then you go out and you do it.
And if you successfully navigate the route you've given, then oh you're a level three hiker.
And so these hikers they they go out.
And they've given their route to the university and they have these rendezvous points and and how long it's gonna take them.
And they set out and they bring cameras along.
And these these are like nine young, fit, like happy, just like beautiful young people.
A lot of them are dating each other and they're like taking selfies.
It's nineteen fifty nine.
Like how do you it's almost odd the pictures they're taking because they seem so current.
