And more importantly than it's ever been, I think, in this game before.
So
guys will have that focus and they'll be prepared in case something like that happens.
But when
A small thing does happen.
You hurt yourself.
In the weight room.
Um, that is now a you problem.
Like you have to figure that out through the union um and not with the team.
and how that is gonna be approached and what you can do.
So uh you know you just gotta get that information before December.
And then kind of uh hope for the best.
I was a player rep when I was with the Brewers, um and then you know, I bounced around to a lot of different teams after that so they generally had reps so I would, you know, be an assistant rep uh to go to
Um, I had guys like Craig Counsel that were really helpful, some veteran guys when you first get called up to the big leagues that are really involved with the union and you know, they talk to you and I just remember him specifically coming up to me at one point was like, You should come with me to the C B A conversations that we're having 'cause we're gonna discuss the new C B A agreement and I think you should be a player rep sort of thing.
And then you just get involved and I really enjoyed it and then went to
Uh all the C B A meetings that we would have in the off season.
in San Diego at one point, Orlando, I think now now they're in Dallas.
So I I went to all those spots.
So God
Yeah, that's I think it it w they did it mostly for West Coast guys would they would do San Diego one year and then it would be Orlando the next year.
