I'm a left winger.
Then he'd say, go and play here.
Because what he said, he'd have to understand...
the function of every position, which means that when I went to play in midfield on that day, when I had to man mark, come back to me in a second.
Who did you play for?
You don't know the club?
Yeah, I'm going to come back to me in a second.
You know, I'm getting a bit old now, but I just remember it vividly.
And so when I go and play, for example, if I want to play midfield, I'd have to play midfield, not like John Barnes, doing a skillful coming into midfield to do what I do.
I'd have to play it like Roy Keane or I'd have to play like a defensive midfield player.
So therefore, he made everyone understand their role, and he made sure everybody understood other people's roles.
So if I went to play right back, I'd have to play like Gary Neville, not like John Barnes, attacking player, going to play right back.
So when I had to manage, he'll come back to me in a second, but I just could not believe he never got a kick.
He scored the winner.
He had one kick, but that was it.
But it was, so Graham Taylor used to do things like that.
So I understood how to play in different positions.
Yeah, because of course for me, like Mo Salah is not a winger as far as I'm concerned.
As a left winger, my job, you have Ross Jenkins and Luther Blissett up front.
You get the ball, you go down the line, you put crosses in.
