So, you know, I mean, it's great that it's a high-profile game that was brought to people's attention, but this was nothing new.

This is nothing that I had not been through before, and I do not even remember doing it, because that happened every week, and you kick a ball out of the field...

Well, a lot of it was to do with my not being born in England because I remember, I mean, Jimmy Greaves, funny enough, they made a comment because I wasn't born in England, so how committed are you?

But I always used the Irish boys as an example.

You know, you've got John Aldridge and Tony Cascarino on back.

They're not flipping Irish, are they?

Don't let them fool you guys.

You know, they're the scouts really.

But what point I'm making is when they play, as Roy knows, when they play for Ireland, they're committed because that's who you choose to play for.

I use Stuart Pearce as an example.

I mean, English run through.

British bulldog gives 100%.

Now, I know Stuart's got about 80 caps, 79, whatever.

If he had 79 caps and Stuart's 80th cap happened to be for France against England, he would give 100% in that game.

So it's got nothing to do with your ball and stuff like that.

But of course, when things aren't going well, they can look to say that.

But when things are going well, you're English, aren't you?
