Things change.
You know, you had to have a little changing room.
You had to have a little... So Liverpool were very slow, which is why I felt that they were left behind.
Very slow to change.
Because when football was changing, Liverpool were like... Changing in what way?
In the way of modernity.
So the changing room... And also dealing with young players, dealing with players.
And don't forget, all of a sudden we're signing players, January we're signing players.
Liverpool never used to do that.
You know, and which is why I think, and I say this about Man United, and Liverpool went through this until we got to the stage where, oh, look, Kenny wouldn't have done this.
Kenny wouldn't have done this.
Shanklin wouldn't have done this until Jurgen came.
We don't care what everyone did in the past.
We have to have something new now, which is what Jurgen started.
Now, unfortunately, I think from your point of view, from Man United's point of view, we're still looking at the way it was back then, and this is not the Man United way.
You know, in the old days, this isn't the Liverpool way.
Forget that.
We have to have a new way.
And I think until Man United say, we have to have a new way, regardless of what went on in the past, all you'll be doing is trying to live up to the standards of the past.
And Liverpool went through that for a long time, until Jurgen came, when they said, we don't care what Dalglish and Shankly, not in a bad way, did.
