Teams might think that Zach Gallon is a tr a tweak or a good run of starts away from

garnering something similar to the Kikuche package.

Merrill Kelly is more of a really good number three, number two type starter, but he's making only, I think, seven or eight million dollars this year.

So he's extraordinarily cheap and has been very good as long as he's been healthy in the majors.

So I think he could get some, you know, back end top one hundred type

prospect as well.

Um, so there there is good pitching out there.

As usual, it's going to be 80% of the guys who are traded are number four or five type starters, but there are going to be some names that casual fans recognize as guys who can really impact the rotation.

And, you know, sometimes it's just a two-month run with a good team is all you need to get

a big contract, you know, like Kakuchi really getting even better with the Astros and garning that into sixty three million dollars.

I think something very similar could happen with Gallon and just maybe even double the value that Kakuchi got.

Yeah, you know, I think baseball more than any other sport is a war of attrition.

You have to get through 162 games.

And the Blue Jays did a really good job in that Yankees series of just getting through those four games, despite the four starters averaging four innings.

Does that inherently mean that a starting pitcher's their biggest need?

No, but also they

are one of those teams like really every contender that can never have enough starting pitching, especially when you think about okay, who should be in a playoff rotation.

And Ber beyond Barrios and Gaussman, yeah, like there's no one who I think is a lock for a postseason rotation spot.
