I mean, I'm not questioning their motives, but they're coming from behind to learn how it's done.

And I acknowledge, too, that

Trying to get Trump to to go through a rigorous decision making process is no easy task.

Well, I think there are a lot of lawyers in different places, Justice and the White House Counsel's Office, who could give him advice, whether they've got people who really understand the Constitution.

Yeah, well, no, the answer to that is no.

But, you know, they've also, according to press reports anyway, downgraded the utility of the Office of Legal Counsel at the Justice Department, which is the real institutional kind of attorney general's principal legal advisor.

Uh, it, it ultimately, this is going to come back to bite them.

But in the meantime, uh, we're all going to suffer significantly because they're just not going through the, the, the right route, uh, to find out what's valid to do and what's not.

And there's some things that are invalid and, and it's to their benefit not to go down that road only to find later that they've taken a wrong path and caused enormous damage.

Well, look, uh, you know, uh,

uh there are there are right ways to reform the government in wrong ways and uh i think the government ought to be reduced dramatically i think doge has barely scratched the surface of what needs to be done but it's often done in a careless and reckless fashion and uh ultimately it may cost a lot of money and in in the next administration you build all these all these departments and agencies right back to where they were before and haven't changed anything

It costs more money, as a matter of fact.

You'll spend the money to tear them down.

Then you'll spend the money to build them back up again.

I have no trouble with massive cuts across the federal government.

I have no trouble whatever, as Ronald Reagan promised to do, eliminate the Department of Education.

But again, there are ways to do it and ways to mess it up.

Well, I think at a minimum, the president ought to say, we're never going to do this again.

And Trump hates to admit any mistakes.

But this is not just for the people who were directly involved in that group chat.
