What is the end goal here and how might our listeners feel the benefits of that if it went in the way you'd like it to?

Of some of the tension here, uh a lot of people would argue, and I don't just mean at this point the farmers, the scale of what you're talking about, a return to time when many, many of these large animals were roaming the wild and the British countryside was much less of that sort of lurid um and bland green.

There's still a tension here in terms of the fact that human populations are so much larger today.

The amount of food that's consumed and not wasted is so much larger today.

That surely rewilding can only ever be a small part of something that that we're doing in societies like the UK.

at the very outset about how you changed what your farm was doing from a more conventional farm to this rewilding ecosystem operation.

What are some of the challenges, changes, tensions that you've had to deal with personally

I mean in a very narrow sense it does nonetheless feel like, you know, you feel very deeply about this, you thought about this, you've made a decision, but not everyone feels the same way, even peop members of your own family.

I mean, how do you look at that now?

Do you would you do the same again?

Was the cost in terms of what it meant for your son worth it?
