But I think why, and I call him the baddie of the banking crisis, the real problem with Michael Fingleton was, first of all, he never admitted he had done anything wrong.
He even said his bank didn't need to be bailed out when quite self-evidently he did.
What on earth was his justification for that?

So that was one thing that he said he didn't regret any decision that he had made, which just was absolutely farcical, given what we found out afterwards.
But then the second problem was.
that he got a performance bonus, no less, of 1 million euros in 2008, the year that everything fell.
How do you get that bonus, considering the performance was so disastrous?
