And if he says, look, I was promised this and you have to give it to me or else I'll make trouble.
You know, there weren't really strong enough characters on the board to go, sorry, Michael.
But even the process you describe of he's called in and told it's game over, see you around, pal.
It all sounds very polite considering.
Well, like a number of people during that time, he didn't face the full consequences of what he did.
And actually, IBRC sued him.
That's the old Irish Nationwide and Anglo that were put into the single state body.
When they went through the books, they basically sued him.
But he did have a stroke in 2018.
And it was very difficult then for any kind of inquiries to proceed after that.
He wasn't in a position to defend himself.
And his family went to court and said, look, you know, this man needs round-the-clock care and so on.
And in all fairness, I think that was probably right.
But the wheels of justice grind so slowly that they didn't get around to him in time.
And that's, I think, part of the problem now that he never really paid the price for what he did.
It might have been better for his reputation if he had paid some price as others did.
And showed no remorse, as you say, if anything argued against it.
And then some of the details that came out, and it was funny, it was the Anglo bosses, the new Anglo bosses that went after him because they looked at some of the items of personal expenditure in his last year.
And after he left Irish Nationwide, he was still incurring expenses.
