Well it's not just a story, Matt.

It would appear to be factually correct.

Um young people uh who are sort of disgusted at the price of vinyl uh are turning to CDs for a more sort of holistic music listening experience.

Because when you have everything at the tip of your fingers on streaming, music becomes very much um wallpaper and it's like you can just skip to the next song.

You don't really care about what you're you're not invested in what you're hearing, but if you

Record stores for like seven quid for classic albums and secondhand stores for like one or two quid.

It's more of a a listening experience and you sort of have to commit to the album and that's what young people are increasingly uh finding that they prefer to do than just putting on something on streaming and just letting it play.

Well I'm of the opinion that you'd have to have like

God's ears to be able to tell the to seriously tell the difference between a vinyl record and a digitally recorded CD.

I have been listening to music since the year dot and I really can't tell the difference.

They say that vinyl lets the music breathe and it's analogue, which is fair enough.

But digital is crisp and it's clear.

And that's I think why people think there's less humanity in it.

I don't subscribe to that theory myself.

And the difficulty in putting it on.
