So I you know, I I don't ask every podcaster, but some of them I say, Well, what database do you have?
And they go, What?
I said, What what's data what data how much have you got in your database? 'Cause if you've got a database, I can do a joint venture with you and we can promote my promotional program.
That database and I'll share revenue with you.
And you hear crickets in the background.
And I cannot believe it that this industry has been around now for ten or fifteen years.
And yet I've never come across podcast I've never come across a podcaster who's actually got a database.
And I keep on saying to them, Do you realize Amazon makes money because they've got a database?
Do you realize Netflix makes money because they're not amazing?
That's fantastic.
I mean you're way ahead of a lot of the other podcast well, probably ninety-five percent of the other podcasters, because normally when I ask that question I get the sound of crickets.
And i if you've got a database, then what you can do then of course is build credibility and trust and authority with that database, which means that when you send out an offer to them, whether it's a joint venture with me or somebody else, then there's a good chance you're going to get a high open rate on that email or text.
Message.
And the sound ka ching ka ching happens in the background because you're getting a share of whatever the product was or service was that that you're selling.
But if you don't have a database, you can't do that.
Yep.
Two reasons.
I think number one, the fear of public speaking.
One thing that that Seinfeld said to me, we were having a coffee one meeting, I'm sorry for the name dropping, but we're having a coffee one morning when we're doing the T V commercials in New York.
And um he said to me, Do you know that and I said, you know, you've been doing stand-up for a thousand years, so of course do you ever get nervous?
