They've released questionable images, including at least one that's transparently AI.
And throughout all of this, the Republican Party is down a vote in the closely divided Senate, and all eyes have been on you, sir.
you have really been in the middle of a firestorm over this.
And I got to tell you, there's a lot of very good people who are spreading a lot of different conspiracy theories and debate and confusion and disinformation about procedure, Kentucky law, and what a governor can do in this situation.
So I guess the most important part I want to start off with is let's just tell our listeners, Mitch McConnell's in a hospital in D.C., sir, right?
That's right.
So, Governor, what you're saying is then you are not going to go leave your state, fly to D.C., dress up in a doctor's costume to sneak into a hospital, somehow locate the room and on your own achieve proof of life from Senator McConnell.
Is that what you're saying?
You're not going to put on a doctor's suit and sneak into a hospital like this?
That's it.
And again, Rand Paul is much geographically closer to the hospital to check on Senator McConnell than you, sir.
I also want to say on behalf of everyone at Sirius XM, we hope that Senator McConnell has a full recovery.
He's OK.
We're not hoping anything bad happens to him.
But strip away all the politics for a second, Governor.
I mean, this is ultimately about one simple principle that that four and a half million Kentucky citizens deserve to know whether one of their senators is actually capable of representing them.
You are not asking the senator to release every medical record.
You're just asking for proof that he's capable of carrying out the duties.
We have a lot of callers who want to say hi to you today, Governor.
But before I do, I just want to point out one very crucial thing that you've been saying in your appearances, that Senator McConnell's absence has not exactly hurt Democrats politically.
