Now I'm looking at the C C A C uh uh report in front of me, and it says that by the end of twenty twenty five we had achieved one point nine gigawatts.
That's about fifty percent below what the minister just said.
So somebody's figures are a little bit out of whack.
But um
Right, that you might say, well, three gigawatts.
It's it's certainly a lot better than it was ten years ago.
But look at where we could be, Matt, right?
I was in Holland earlier this summer looking at their energy systems.
And in Holland, a country much less than half the size of Ireland, they have deployed over thirty gigawatts of solar.
Over thirty.
That is, uh by my calculation, between twelve and fifteen times the deployment that we've achieved in Ireland.
Almost one in two private homes.
farms in Holland are covered in solar panels.
They have taken this uh farms, the agriculture sector, the industrial sector.
Again, the government has put the the the the grants and supports in place.
They've also created the regulatory environment that this is happening quickly.
And the main thing, Matt, is that the Dutch government, they're seeing the need to cut emissions.
They're seeing the need also for energy independence.
Because, for example, countries like China that are racing ahead in solar deployment, they're not doing it because they're goody two shoes.
They're doing it because solar is now the cheapest form of electricity available
