And...

Finally, it was the really toughest thing we had to do.

We couldn't pick him because he just wasn't free.

His leg, his knee wasn't good enough.

We did take him on the bench for one of the games later, but he wasn't up to playing.

And

And that was tragic all round because he was the superstar.

He was the first rugby superstar.

And when he was in South Africa on our tour, he was just revered.

And we had to put special things around him to protect him because everyone wanted a bit of Jonah.

And, you know, he – unfortunately, he wasn't fit to play and couldn't play.

He was accepting of that, and that gave Glenn Osborne his chance.

And I –

I just admire Jonah so much for the way he handled himself and handled that.

He still knew he had a responsibility and he gave us everything he could and how I would have loved to have put him on the field in South Africa, but his knee was a problem.

In fact, we went for a scan.

This shows you the problems.

We went for a scan in a hospital, supposedly private,

And Jane Dent got a call from the media before we had the result of the scan to tell us what.

So Jonah's knee's no good.
