If the proportion is already pretty high, then the strategy of locking down the entire world and closing it shut for
who knows, according to some projections, 18 months could be entirely catastrophic, not for thousands and millions of people, but for millions of people.
In that case, the best strategy, depending on what the exact prevalence is, might be to protect the populations who are at high risk, make really draconian measures to make sure that they do not get exposed and get infected.
And this would be people who are elderly and have severe underlying diseases, and let the rest of the society
continue to run its life and be productive and care for these individuals who are susceptible.
Ideally, we need data from multiple sides.
Of course, each country could have its own peculiarities and there could be different issues involved in each country.
The more unbiased data we have, the better.
I think that it would be nice to have data from extreme cases, including, for example,
and other countries that are probably in the mid-range and others that seem to be in the low range.
The more data we have, the better.
