I actually stole that off a beloved colleague, a departed colleague of ours, David Davenpower, who we lost last year.
He would use that sometimes.
It's a very evocative phrase.
But I think those individuals who spoke out against Micheál Martin's leadership, who are now being criticised somewhat in their own party, did their party a service.
They did sacrifice themselves and their short-term future to speak out against what had gone on in that party.
What I gleaned in the last few days since that report came out from members of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party is that, yes, they now accept that Micheál Martin is damaged and weakened.
They also accept that he won't go on.
