During my, you know, crisis of faith, we call it, it really had less to do with
my own personal doubt in the reasons for God, but more so my doubt in um
the authority of the people who are teaching me.
So like uh one of my favorite parts of this lecture was when we was talking about the Middle Ages and it was saying people in the Middle Ages came to know uh really could only know
Um
God or Jesus or the Bible through, you know, the authority of the church 'cause they couldn't read.
And then there's this expansion of
um material for, you know, people to read with the printing press, with, you know, just greater writing, greater access to knowledge.
And they started kind of doing their own independent reasoning.
