It's something I've been thinking about.
And when I was teaching the counselors this summer at camp about kind of like different religions, not different religions, different groups of Christianity and also other religions, and talking about how different
we all in our, we'll call it low theology, our low, um, just practical everyday life, like live kind of very similar lives for the most part.
Like we, um, no matter what church you go to, uh,
really no matter what faith you kind of have, like if you live in America and you are five to 10 years old, like you're experiencing like kind of a similar life.
So I talk about that with the counselors for the campers of like,
just because they might have a different background than you, don't think you have to change your thinking about what you're telling them or what you're talking to them about, because they're living, practically speaking, basically the same life as each other.
He said, but when you go higher into higher theology or higher learning or higher authority or higher leadership or whatever you want to call it, that's where our lives as people start to diverge.
And specifically on the higher learning aspect, we as Southern evangelicals,
Baptist or, um, like Pentecostals or even like Presbyterian, like the majority of people who live in the heartland and are Christians, like we don't have a, um, our highest authority is scripture.
And we don't have like a head of the church who is like dictating these like high theology things.
And for the staff, I did this whole like kind of analogy thing.
as it pertains to the campers, of these triangles.
And so if you're listening or if you're watching, because I'm not drawing it out, imagine three triangles.
And you've got in the middle, in the left side triangle, you've got Catholicism.
So at the top, you've got the Pope at the top of the triangle.
The bottom, you've got
just your everyday people living life, go to church every once in a while.
And then their hierarchy would go down.
