Thankfully, I had it down for the most part.
But they are teaching grown-up children how to do the exact same thing.
My point is that a lot of us arrive at adulthood, even some of us with letters after our name, and we still are stuck in childish and immature patterns of relationship to each other.
So what Bethany and I want to do with the rest of our time is just kind of think of this as like how to apologize for grown-ups or kind of sort of grown-ups.
Yeah.
And this is really helpful for me, honestly, where I'm still in process on this one.
So we just want to walk you through four steps of reconciliation.
So last week with Gerald was kind of how to forgive.
This week is a little bit more about how to reconcile.
And this is adapted from the work of Dr. Gary Beshears at a Western seminary.
Four steps.
Then, if you have that baseline, step one is confession.
And that's a bit of a Christian word.
All we mean by that is you verbalize what you did wrong.
I said this.
I did this.
I made a biting or a sarcastic or a derogatory comment about you, or I was late, or I whatever.
And, you know, don't rush here.
Just don't rush.
And don't rush into the, I'm so sorry, will you please forgive me?
