I was in second infantry division there.

And then I deployed to Afghanistan with them in 2012, 2013.

That is correct.

Yeah.

So I grew up in Conroe, Texas.

And for those that don't know, that's maybe, I don't know, an hour north of Houston.

And I grew up actually doing a lot of deer hunting out in East Texas here with my dad and my grandfather.

Yeah.

Started out hunting deer, then feral hogs moved into that same area.

So I just picked them up as a thing as well.

And then I always had this dream of hunting in Africa.

And that was kind of passed on to me by my dad.

And he ended up going to hunt Africa when I was, I think, a sophomore in college.

And he had a great time and was like, hey, I'm going back.

I want you to come with me.

And, uh, a joke that I always tell in the podcast, a story, a true story is at, uh, at West Point, the guys that are juniors, they call them, don't, don't ask me why they call us that, but a, a person that's a junior at West Point is called a cow.

So you have plebes, yucks, cows, and firsties, firsties and seniors.

But as a cow, you get a, what they call a career starter loan from USAA.

Uh, at, at the time I got it, it was $30,000 at a low interest rate.

A lot of guys bought cars with it.
