So let's get started with the list.

Coming in at number one of the hunters that I would turn down is the inch seekers.

And I cannot tell you guys how many

requests I got from people that would send you an email and they would say, see down in the Eastern Cape, been to South Africa, been to Africa a couple of times.

Um, these are the animals I'm looking for.

And they would list animals and they would say, A bushbuck has got to be between

fifteen and three eighths of an inch to sixteen three quarters of an inch, whatever it was.

I need an eastern Cape Kudu that's fifty-one inches and above, nothing less.

I need a spring buck that's X amount of inches, a bless buck X amount of inches.

And they would say specifically what inches they need.

And they would often say that I don't want anything less than that.

Now, I have never really been a big fan of inches, but at the same time, I'm also not the type of person that completely writes it off.

I do understand that they have a place within hunting, specifically trophy hunting.

I understand it.

But it was never something that was that important to me.

It was never a pressure that I wanted to put on to the safaris that I operated and it wasn't a pressure that I wanted to put on to my Ph's.

Um and definitely not something that I wanted the hunters to try and hold against us if you shot a if you wanted a 51 inch kudu bull and you shot it and it was fifty inches and a half, whatever it may be.

So I was never interested in that, but I did get a lot of emails, especially towards the end, with people saying, These are the animals I want and these are the inches that they have to be.

Otherwise I'm not booking with you.
