So it was never really released as a single or anything.
But then later we decided to redo it and it became an Eagles song.
And how did you get pulled into the Eagles?
How did that work?
Or how did you infiltrate the Eagles?
Infiltrate.
Well, I had this solo career.
And it was pretty good.
But I got... There's a lot of non-musical stuff that comes along with that.
Doing the business and hiring and firing and writing and... So, I mean, it was okay.
I was having a good time, but I kind of figured, well, now I know about that, I kind of like to be in a band again.
So I was kind of thinking that way.
And in the meantime...
The eagles were maybe starting to pay.

That's what they wanted to do.
And their guitar player named Bernie Ledin was a real acoustic guitar, finger-picking, folk music purist.
