That's the thing about music that always made me envious, because as a stand-up, I don't think I could, you know, I can have a couple Miller Lights and go out there, but if I get good and shit-faced, I'm going to start slurring, and the jokes aren't going to work, and I'm going to lose my shit, and I feel like Jimi Hendrix could get as high as he fucking wanted, and the shit would be even better.

Where did it all begin?
I went to high school in Montclair, New Jersey, outside of New York.
And I played clarinet for a while, one of those horrible metal clarinets.
Just high as a kite, playing that clarinet in the marching band, beat out of your brain.

So then I played oboe for a while.
