Happy with the way he...
He called a breakdown, happy with the way he dealt with the cards, happy with the way he did.
Because in the circumstances, in the vacuum of information or sightings or anything else, what you have is nobody's quite sure whether they're happy with Nick Berry.
And they'll say there's a process and Joe Juge will take, you know, will kind of evaluate how the referees performed at the weekend and they won't make that public.
But it's like there's a massive...
there's a massive vacuum there of, is that the correct way?
And they'll argue that they'll go to the, you know, the kind of those that need to know, i.e.
coaches and the reviews, if you like, with coaches afterwards and all that sort of stuff.
But for the spectator, it's puzzling.
Like, and Gordon articulated it really well there.
Like he's commentating on a match.
He's played at the highest level for nearly 20 years.
He's looking at stuff and he's thinking, well, hang on a second.
You should be able to play this within the laws.
And the referee is telling the player to get his hands off.
And you're thinking, the game becomes overly complicated.
And I think this is where, without going into the weeds of this or going down a rabbit hole, where world rugby needs to look at simplifying, simplifying, simplifying and giving the referees and being supportive of referees as well.
Don't get me wrong.
It is a really difficult game to referee.
And when you get something like that in the future, where I look at Nick Berry and I kind of posed the question in the piece I wrote as well.
