Yeah, no, it's a little bit of kind of bitter Irish and, you know, not able to take defeats and all this sort of stuff and kind of roping you in with the team. And you're thinking, well, OK, fair enough. That's your viewpoint on certain things. And they accuse you of being blinkered And you're thinking that's exactly what you are in terms of what you write. But like nobody likes to be for this to be pointed out to them. So very, very, very occasionally I'll kind of write back to somebody. And if I'm just in the mood, basically, I'll do it.
Do they not see the irony of what they're saying that you're blinkered and you're going, well, actually, yes, I do need to be blinkered because if you get swept up in context, you miss the actual point, which was It is a cookie cutter, nice in a box, very easy straight red card.
Yeah, that was it. And it's the thing was that I wasn't, I didn't describe them. I think one, I read New Zealand or turned around and said that I had... called him a thug. And I said, no, you're mixing me up with somebody else. And I hadn't called Jacob Smith a thug. I said it was a failing of the officials on the day and World Rugby that this continues to be an issue. The interpretation continues to be an issue. And I said, like the foul play review officer, Andrew Jackson of England, had an opportunity to review the incident 20 times. And he came back to say, Nick Berry, and he said to Nick Berry, nah, you're good, you're good, it's a yellow card's okay, because there's mitigation in, you know, James Ryan has deflected the course of the missile with the most softest of brushes of his back inadvertently, and that's that has kind of
caused Luke Jacobson to collide with Josh Vander Fleer's head. When in fact, if you look at it from behind, you see that he's already off his feet. He's late. He's desperate. He's already off his feet with two feet in the air. So he's illegal from the get-go.
The cynic in me goes, what has been told to the referees in the lead up to this?
