Well, look, as long as we remain in the Premier League, that's the important thing, but look, it's clear we want to be a lot higher on the table, that's for sure, and to give these fans, you saw, obviously the atmosphere at home is always special, but the last two home games we've had, obviously Chelsea and this one tonight, it was...

They're loudest I've heard of them in a good few years, so hopefully we can give that enjoyment to the fans a lot more earlier in the season.

I would have said the quality of the pre-season is going to be key and I think that's where the manager and when Big Sam took over, the gaffer took over, he probably would have seen that maybe that was probably lacking the pre-season that we had last year.

In what way, John?

Just in terms of obviously he's felt that

Obviously, the big thing the managers look at is stats and different things throughout games and the intensity of it, not just running, it's the high-intensity work as well that teams do.

And he had a big impact on that and thankfully you've seen the rewards from it.

I'd hope so, yeah, and I think that's the key factor, you said the track record that he's got, you saw the quality that he's done to West Ham, the position that obviously he brought them into and how comfortable he had them in the Premier League, I think that's hopefully a key character for us going forward.

and you've had many celebratory nights in your career lifting trophies what what does staying up and what you've bought into in this club now mean to you yes huge it's it's up there with all of that because i know obviously the area the people that you're thinking about the staff that work at the the club you know yourself the training ground what it means to them to stay in the premier league it's uh it's it's huge and hopefully as i said we can give them more enjoyable nights not just at the end of the season brilliant we've said it before john but finally before you go

As I talked about, and it starts the minute, it starts now for Watford.

Obviously, we can enjoy tonight and have a, I won't say a celebration because it shouldn't be that for the situation you're in.

It's more of a relief.

But to kick on the minute, the manager decides, the team, the squad for pre-season, the plans, all that can go forward now because you know you're a Premier League team.
