I was on the tour in 2003 when he was capped for Ireland as a fullback in a game against Tonga, and we played golf together in Samoa the following week.
So I got to play on the westernmost, as it was at the time, and easternmost golf courses in the world because they were separated by the international dateline.
Michael Corcoran enjoyed his birthday, of RT fame, enjoyed his birthday twice on that trip.

on a Tuesday, early Tuesday morning from Tonga and landed in Samoa on Monday night.

Golf, Mark played pretty well.
His parents are members of Baltre up and loud and he played a little bit as a young fella.
So we had a great laugh.
And Mark's a lovely person, great company, very good coach, obviously.
A very good player as well in his day as an out-of-half, a brilliant place kicker.
And he was assistant coach with Mike Grunick in Lansdowne and worked in Lansdowne for years.
