And long story short, what used to be sort of a guaranteed seven or eight member class has shrunk to four or five in the last couple of years.
That's not the way you want to go.
This is not baseball where there's nine players.
There's 22 to 25 positions in the NFL with 32 teams.
four or five players a year, in my opinion, is not enough.
I hope that the fallout from Bill Belichick not getting in is that the hall looks at its process and says, we've got to do this better.
It's not the voters.
I know people are angry at the voters.
The voters are trying to do the best job they can.
Their hands were tied a little bit too much the last couple of years.
