Whereas Ireland are very much committed to showing well, showing up well in the Six Nations and seeing how they fare afterwards in a World Cup.

Not that they're not committed or don't want to win it, but just a slightly different emphasis, if you like.

So you'll get a better appreciation when you see the number of changes that England have.

And obviously you'll be able to identify some of their players as a couple of famous surnames in their squad.

And it'll be interesting to see

how much Andy Titrell, I think, is their head coach, the former sale hooker.

So it'd be interesting to see how many additions there are and how many changes there are to that night in the rec.

I think to be fair to Andrew Brown, and I should say that Andrew Brown and his coaching team have done a very good job.

You could see that there were issues, if you like, as you would expect with a scratch side that takes a while to find its feet and find kind of units that kind of gel a little bit more.

And what you want to see from a 20s group is, yes, the commitment to playing that expansive game and stress testing players in a good way to showcase their skills.

But you want to see a development and an improvement from the start of a Six Nations through to the end of it.

And that's what you'd like to see in this tournament as well.

The only problem in this tournament is you don't get a betting in period.

If, like as we've already discussed, if Ireland lose to England, it's very difficult for them to make the semifinals.

And that would have been a goal at the start, is a goal, sorry, at the start of the tournament.

So they've got to find a way to start quickly.

and win on Saturday.

And that gives you momentum then going into the following Thursday against Argentina.

And again, it'll be a formidable challenge, but at least you have momentum and there's a bit of confidence from playing well.

So yeah, the issue for them will be Saturday is it's all about winning Saturday's game.
