I've read 60-Minute Father.
And I was given to it by my father when my daughter was first born.
And I hadn't even made that connection because of how we were introduced around the story of Ronnie until I realized that you've intersected my life through storytelling.
So the book you wrote there in any one way has shaped my being a father, if you like.
Right now, with so much of what you're doing going forward in storytelling, what's the main story you're trying to get across?
What is the kind of core message that Rob Parsons is putting out there?
I love the fact you said all that and your book and the impact it had on me at the time of scaling a business that actually meant that by default, I was talking to a successful high net worth people.
And when they found out that I was a new father, kind of six months to a year in during this period, every single one of them without question
And by default, they were a fair bit older than me, had that same story.
It doesn't matter whether I've made a million, 10 million, 100 million jobs, how much success I've had.
I missed my kids as a father.
My relationship broke down and this is one thing I could do.
If there's one regret I've got, I go back and I do it differently.
and I can't, that time's gone.
I can go and make another million quid, but I cannot spend those 10 minutes.
And that went in, and I'll tell you what, back to that storytelling, the first few people that told me that, the defiant version of me was like,
it's cool but we'll move on in the conversation to the what you know the sort of what i'm trying to do but after the i don't know maybe the 10th the 15th the 20th like a worn record i was like these this i need to listen to this no i know that ambitious driven younger version of myself i need to listen to it i don't want that regret no so your book and that's the storytelling that came back from those people yeah massively then changed how i went about my parenting
It's fascinating, isn't it?
It brings back what we are all about, which is love, human connection, and looking after each other, which you epitomize.
