John Safran

I kind of like built this Bible of the John Safran in inverted commas in my head.

And, yeah, you kind of follow it.

But, you know, sometimes you break it.

Yeah.

But the way it is made, I absolutely am really pretty obsessed with, like, mysticism and...

That side of religion and, like, that's what I'd be reading anyway.

And, you know, like, before I knew I wanted to be, like, what I wanted to do.

Like, when I was in, like, high school, I'd be walking past, like, the Freemasons and going, what's going on in there?

Or the Church of Scientology, oh, my God, I'm going in to get a free personality test.

I can't believe this.

This is so exciting.

And stuff like that.

So that was me before.

And...

Yeah, I find that really interesting.

So that's true.

And so there's a reason why my work is so heavily leans into things like that.

But then there's sort of – I guess there's just different things going on at the same time.

And then another thing is I also like to do religion because it's like really undercovered and underserviced in Australia.
