And they were always like...
sort of like tapping into, I might be tapping into politics or this thing or whatever, but it was always like a bit of an adjacent story.
Like it wasn't like this literal thing.
And I kind of really like that type of storytelling.
Like, you know, like to say hip hop, for instance, where so much of it is like, you know, at least, you know, late eighties and stuff was like telling these smaller stories and
if you were, like, a black American in a certain part of New York or Los Angeles and you'd be telling, like, this smaller story.
And so it wasn't like this, like, political thing, da-da-da-da-da, but it really, like, builds in your head this other world and you get to, like, learn about something else and, yeah, but it's not like, yeah, it's not like, oh, here's my op-ed about everything.
Yeah.
Do I think we've struck the right balance?
I think, like, there's so many things at play when it comes to free speech in the context of 2026 as opposed to –
just say 1970s or 1990s or whatever because censorship used to really mean censorship.
Let's use the case of Alex Jones who can fairly say, whatever you think about him, he's really been censored where, like, you know, he's been kicked off his radio show or whatever, he's had these court cases and he's been deplatformed, his credit card's closed, whatever, this whole thing like that.
Yeah, right now I can just go there and within five seconds find Alex Jones on my phone right there.
And that's like so different to in the past.
And that's not saying he hasn't been censored or it should be or it's good he's been censored or whatever like that.
Sorry, it's bad he's been censored.
It's just saying...
There's so many things in play when it comes to like how controversial ideas get put out there because it's just impossible to shut them down.
these days.
And so I generally think that, I mean, I'm coming from this Gen X, 90s kid point of view, is that, like, I'm happy with this sort of, you know, more, if people kind of want to say offensive stuff or they want to criticise the government and stuff like that,
