You have to be respectful, not of the big cities. matched

You have to be respectful of what it means to Estevan, Saskatchewan, and what it means to Prince George, and what it means to Fort McMurray, because that's where your real hardcore hockey fan lives. matched

And I think in my time, that was our biggest success, because we didn't need to speak to the Toronto Maple Leaf fan that lived in North York. matched

He was going to watch anyway, but we needed to speak to Canadians across the country. matched

And hence, I think that's what we did with the doubleheader, what we did with Hockey Day in Canada, and we did with so many other things that made it exciting and unified. matched

our country, as opposed to saying that, you know, at that point, the six Canadian teams, now seven Canadian teams, that's all we care about. matched

But, you know, all those people in between those six or seven cities, they're really the important hockey fan for us to talk to. matched

Well, I mean, it is a nostalgic moment. matched

You know, there still will be hockey on Saturday nights. matched

It just won't be on the CBC. matched

And so we'll still be able to get every Canuck game that exists on Saturday nights. matched

And in many ways, you just hope that, again, beyond the seven Canadian NHL cities, that Rodgers is able to reach everybody. matched

You know, that was the magic of the CBC. matched

You could reach the North. matched

you could reach the outlying districts that had very few TV channels. matched

So that will become a real challenge. matched

I mean, the difference at one point was CBC was in 13 million homes and whatever Rogers owned, whether it be Citi or Sportsnet was in nine or 10. matched

So where's the Delta gonna go? matched

How is that three or 4 million, matched

homes or people going to be able to watch hockey on Saturday nights and watch the playoffs. matched
