This is, you know, streaming services have come a long way from a technical perspective, which doesn't help the wallet for any subscriber.
But what it does do is it really proves that we are now going beyond linear television, which is, you know, the old CFRN, CBC, ITV days.
and even going beyond cable TV with TSN and Sportsnet, and we're now into that level and that stage of how we get delivered content.
It's interesting.
I've had a couple of discussions with people today.
Obviously, there'll be a discussion about Alex's life with the World Junior team and whether this is justified.
I'm one of those people that believe that justice has been served.
And we have to believe what, you know, the judge, what she said and what she ruled with this group of guys.
And Alex Formington deserves a right to earn a living.
And some would argue that a guy like Formington has been punished more than most because he wasn't able to continue to earn a living in the National Hockey League.
Over that period of time, and the three years he spent in the Swiss League, where he was one of the best players in the league for most of those years, that's now part of the past.
What Formington does do is something I think addresses...
A little bit of what the Oilers feel that they have lacked in the last couple of years, and that's depth.
And he's going to be a good depth player.
I had an argument with someone today that actually said, I said, well, he's going to be great as a third and fourth liner.
And he says, oh, no, no.
Before the season's over, Formington will be in the top six.
And I said, well, then that's a bonus if that's the case with the Oilers.
