Um, you know, first round having that extended rest period and especially for Fritz who, who's coming off the, the injured knee.

So that was something that we were all keeping an eye on and it actually did flare up on him.

Um,

during this tournament.

I think it was his third match, but he said he was able to kind of manage it and play through it.

And I was like, that's a little concerning, but the reality, he was still playing a great brand of tennis and focus on today, a very solid performance.

And when I think about analyzing kind of that day off and maybe does it help one player more than the other?

I didn't really have a strong hunch.

I was thinking that it would benefit both of them.

one for Rafa just because of the duration that he's been on court this week, uh, much longer matches and Fritz, obviously a little bit of rest for the knee and, you know, a little bit more PT and whatnot just to prepare him and, and give him that period.

So I thought it would help both of them, but yeah, fast forward to the first set tie break, just a really clean breaker, um, from Fritz where he was good on both serve and return and just made Rafa play.

And then he took that momentum with him into the second set.

It's always huge to win that breaker and take that early break.

And there's not many better than Fritz who's able to kind of hold on to an early break, you know, serve big, keep your head out in front.

And yeah, as you mentioned, the biggest title since Tokyo 22.

Think back to some of the finals, like it was just a few months ago where he was in that hollow final versus Tiafoe and probably was the favorite going into it.

So it's a, I guess what we're here to do, Fergus, I got to analyze how big of a deal this is.
