I'm paying for a whole bunch of things, especially like in these, you know, this part of the year. podcast-host

And it's just maybe, you know, it's just it's not it's not the right time for multiple reasons. podcast-host

So this compromise is something I have to do. podcast-host

And if I if I use this computer for five years and then replace it, I will still consider it a tide me over computer. podcast-host

If I use it for seven, I'm like, well, tidy me over lasted longer. podcast-host

But I still think I'll be. podcast-host

I won't be as in dire straits as I am with this Mac Pro now in seven years, because seven years from now, first of all, the M5 Max is not in any danger of being obsoleted or no longer supported by macOS, because it is basically their second-newest chip that they have, or third-newest, I guess, because you've got the Ultra and the M6. podcast-host

And it'll certainly have enough power, and I don't... I expect there not to be another architecture transition in the next five to seven years, so... podcast-host

Yeah, this basically gives me the leeway to wait. podcast-host

And like if the M7 comes out and it's not exactly what I want, I'll be like, oh, I'll wait to see what the M8 does. podcast-host

And if the M8 isn't what I want, I'll wait till the M9. podcast-host

Once the N10 comes out, I'll be like, well, maybe I have to buy this one. podcast-host

But sometimes you got to do what you got to do. podcast-host

it doesn't work out and like having the split storage and third party external storage for my drive ends up being a disaster, it'll be good content for the show. podcast-host
