I still say that him and Scott Bain at Falk are, for me, the two best goalkeepers with the ball at their feet in the league.
So he'll be a massive loss for Motherwell, no doubt.
Not surprised, the boy Sirachi I think has got wonderful athleticism to go up and down the pitch I think if you want to get the ball wide and get your full backs up the pitch which Celtic do, they possess the ball but he was another one who came off the bench last year when he did come in he made a good impact, same as any actual we spoke off air and I asked you the question Andrew that he never started a lot of games certainly made an impact when he came off
but it's been it's been straight it's been a strange deal because it's surprising that they haven't got that tied up especially in being out already being at the club then out of contract you thought they would have got the deal tied up earlier if they were convinced about bringing him back Right let's speak to Jordan who is a Celtic fan in Airdrie Jordan what are you thinking tonight?
12 months he's settled into the city the culture etc so he knows what the league's all about him and Tierney are obviously very very different footballers I think if you rewind Cairns you know career maybe six or seven years ago he was that marauding fullback that we got up but for me I think his body's changed a wee bit I think he would actually probably be better suited to playing left centre back he's good on the ball he's strong physically
but the boy Sirachi is a different athlete as I say he gets up and down never stops running gets into the attacking third and he delivers good service in the box so totally different players but two very valuable assets for Celtic Is the timing of the Iheanacho one interesting for you Jordan because there was a lot of talk towards the end of last season and Martin O'Neill
It's just a strange one.
You never know what's going on behind the scenes, you know, if the player's holding out for a longer term deal or more money, etc.
There certainly was, you know, from both parties, they wanted to come together.
It looks like they've got the deal done.
But as you've mentioned, Andrew, it's very strange when Martin has said, you know, on numerous occasions that he wasn't a 90 minute fit.
And yet the deal's been delayed, delayed, delayed.
And then they're getting them in after a week, 10 days of pre-season.
It kind of puts them on the back foot a wee bit.
So it'll be interesting to see if it starts the season for Celtic.
But I'll be very, very surprised if they're not in the market for at least another number nine.
Definitely I mean I watched some footage of the boy today and it looks like the first year or so that he was at Carabao he maybe played in the wider areas and he got himself a few assists and it seems to be that his goal output you know jumped
considerably as they've maybe placed him in the middle as the 9 he's a left footed attacking player so whether he's coming in to play as that out and out 9 or going to play in the 11 position it will remain to be seen but it could be that they're bringing him in because Maeda is possibly leaving the football club so as I say time will tell Jordan since you've got your pal there ask him who he thinks Rangers best signing so far in this window is it's got to be Shankland and we're going to need to follow up with him and flag that and all
You would think so.
I think if they create enough chances, we know what Shanklin's going to do.
