Universities do this incredible work, but there's a stopping point.

And how do you feel that handoff is going?
Is that something that America does really well?
Because I feel like it is.
I feel that commercialization is something.
So where does a research university say, you know what, it's time for this to go on to an entrepreneur?
And as we go back to global competitiveness, is it as simple as to say we want as many shots on goal, people entering the valley?
It's a game of numbers.
And if our federal-funded dollar pie grows, we probably have more innovation leading to more commercialization.
If it shrinks, there's no amount of –
industrial effort that can make up that gap.
Yeah, I forget what the, we wouldn't have a polio vaccine, we'd have a really sophisticated iron lung.
