But in any event, that's one good way in which an earnings claim will actually assist you.
The second is, if you're not making an earnings claim, then as you know, there are two paragraph disclosures that you need to put in the item 19.
both of which say we don't make any claims and don't rely on anything we say.
And if you've done that, and especially if you've been using some kind of a compliance certification where you've asked specific questions that would relate to any idea what you think, anyone give you any idea about sales, it would be hard for a franchisee to try to make a credible claim that this generic statement really had any influence whatsoever on them.
Well, as I said before, I think that those are not good claims to make.
and you're better off even at the end of the day when you're able to convince either a jury or the regulators that there's no reason I should be held liable for some generalized statement that a broker made.
You're better off not getting into the issue where you have to defend that claim on the grounds that nobody could credibly believe that this was the case for our franchise for all the reasons that we've earlier said.
You're better off not having to start up with it.
Not a good practice.
I don't know how you stop it.
And one of the things you could do, I would suppose, is if you see that the franchise or your franchise broker or consultant that you've retained is using that in association with your business, like you might say, you know, food service thing, and we've got six people that we represent in the food service industry, and, you know, all of them are terrific.

The key oftentimes is you've got salespeople.
