And they don't really appreciate or understand the fact that there are very specific laws with respect to how you sell a franchise.
Not the same laws you use when you sell a car or you sell a boat or you sell a house.
And it's not necessarily the way that salespeople ordinarily function or think.
And the bottom line is they're thinking, I'm not saying anything that's unreasonable.
I'm not saying anything that's lying.
Those are bona fide government statistics.
And what's the big deal?
And what they don't really understand is the big deal is the fact that you've got statutes that say you can't do it this way.
And these statutes, to some extent, are sort of gotcha statutes, that it doesn't matter whether you had a bad intent or whether you deceived anybody.
The answer is you can't do it.
And a lot of the salespeople simply don't know the rules.
and really don't respect it, or they think, oh, you know, nobody's seriously going to take this seriously.
You know, no credible reason people would take this seriously.
It's just sort of a swizzle.
And it's just not true.
And they come back to haunt you, and they don't really appreciate the risk.

I think they think it's, you know, it's pretty simple.
He's going to go try to sell my franchises, and if he does, I'm going to pay him a commission.
