We have two teams in Cork.
So that kind of stuff is you're kind of gone all day.
But it's two, three nights a week and then you've got all your review and preview stuff.
So you're kind of planning kind of half of your week.

no up and down on the bus bus trips very important for the lads from a social perspective are there still cans on the bus still cans yeah some bus drivers try to stop it but I think because they banned cans on the train which is like a death blow to the airline so I think it's for everybody as well yeah sorry
it's not just an AIL there's a yeah there's a bit of Jim Hamilton who I played with in Leicester there's a bit I remember being on a bus trip with him and we had cans on and the bus driver pulled over and Jim got in the driver's seat and said well if you're not driving I'm driving so there's a bit of that on AIL weekends as well so I think the bus drivers just need to kind of accept it and get on with it but yeah it's a huge social part of the game as well ex-Irish international Grand Slam winner Alison Miller is with us as well and Alison you were at Port Leash and then Old Belvedere
Well, I suppose I think, you know, I played for Allistown in Gaelic football.
I know I jumped the fence.
My under eights, George's thing, that's where I'm headed now.
I'm in my shorts.
I'm headed to an under eights blitz for a two mile house.
That's where we live now.
But even when I retired, I played a bit of a junior B football with Allistown.
But there was never any doubt that like Allistown was, you know, your club is your club from a GAA perspective.
yeah you don't go like if there is someone that moves it's kind of you know they're still talking about 10 years later yeah and even the guys who are playing into county currently like for you know that have jobs in Dublin or whatever and they're from different counties like they all still play for their club back home you know and they're kind of there's a huge there's little to no movement around I think that used to be the way in rugby though certainly back in the day you were one club person I mean
Limerick certainly like Shannon and Gary Owen wouldn't be best pals no the Limerick clubs would definitely and I suppose in Munster in particular and obviously where they are at the moment there has been a big shift like when I when I moved there first in 2010 you know you'd ask a young lad like what's your club and he'd say young Munster Shannon you know or Bowes he'd name one of the big clubs
It is.
I think over the last kind of two, three years, there's definitely been a big shift in that.
