My initial reaction to the story, which I feel like is right to tell you is like, you can't hide from your own soul's brokenness.
Like really, that's what I was just that, that like you can go and you can, you know, pretend you're happy and put on a cowboy hat and ride the horse and never apologize.
never admit wrong act like everything you're doing is right act like you've got it all together you're powerful you're strong you're you're tough you have you're doing it you're the leader you're the one that you could be president someday but there's a darkness in you and it's why you thought when you killed that dog it'd be a story worth telling and whatever that darkness is you can't hide from it it's going to infect your whole fucking life out through the cracks
I'm not one to say a person is or isn't evil.
There are plenty of evil people in the world, but I do think there's evil inside of us.
And I do think that like that evil, that darkness, right?
Like if you don't face it, if you don't deal with it, you end up leading the shield of America while your husband is at home putting in.
