It's just saying he existed and this is what it meant.

think most fans would prefer a more chaotic football.

And again, I'm not necessarily a Guardiola defender in that sense.

And the book is very much about the history of the football and that's a history that he shaped.

I think it's incredibly impressive that a guy like Guardiola came along and effectively solved football for 15 years to the extent that no one could really do anything about it.

And it took that long for alternatives to be found.

And

Do I think that the modern iteration of football is more exciting?

Probably.

But I also think that there's something about Guardiola's football where you just understand it.

You can watch his teams play and you're like, I know what the plan is and it makes sense to me.

So I enjoy that element of it as well.
