A judge has finally decided on Alsani's habeas petition, and after nine months of being held in detention, the judge orders that he has to be released immediately.
It's February 12th, 2026.
Andrea is overjoyed.
She arranges for a volunteer to pick him up from the detention center, buy him a bus ticket.
And by the next day, he's back in New York.
