Yes, I think there's probably two things going on there.

So I think on the one hand, club management is incredibly gruelling these days.

So I was talking to somebody who was around Ipswich last season and he was saying, Kieran McKenna, every day he'd meet his coaching staff at 6am and the staff would each have their own drills that they'd arrange and he'd go through each exercise and he'd suggest improvements, suggest changes and

And then they'd go to the ground staff, he'd lay out the cones, everything, and they'd work out where are we going to put the drinks bottles so that players can be hydrated as easily as possible.

And then he would circulate around these sessions, then there'd be a big session at the end that he would take, and then he'd meet with the coaching staff after that, and they'd go through each session, how can we improve this, what went wrong, what went right.

And then the coach staff would go away to come up with their drills for the next day.

And in five years at Ipswich, they never repeated the same drill in the same form twice.

And so I think that level of dedication, you have to do that all the time.

That's before you get to matches, specific match preparation, all the other issues managers have to deal with.

I think that's really exhausting.

And I think what you're seeing is, I think we've really seen the Thomas Tuchel with England.

That was meant to be a one and done, come in, do the World Cup, hopefully win it and go back to club management.

And I think he's realised actually the lifestyle of an international manager, sure, there's big pressure around the major tournaments, but the rest of the time, it's a much more manageable work-life balance than being a club manager.

And I think the other thing is that international managers have way more autonomy than club managers have.

The club managers, you're not just managing down, you're managing up.

You're having to deal with sporting directors, you're having to deal with directors.
