After that Algeria game, I was less impressed by that than other people because I'd seen Algeria get ripped apart by Akor Adams of Nigeria.
I don't think this is a great Algeria side.
But still, it's a hat-trick of which one of the three goals at least is an excellent goal.
But I think the fact that he sort of has a useful peripheralness, if that makes sense, that he's not like Ronaldo, who just sits in the middle and gets in the way.
And actually, he's even more in the way when he tries to move out to the wing or come deep.
Messi sort of drifts around, you forget he's there, and then suddenly he's destroyed you.
And it was like that four years ago, and he doesn't seem any different now.
Didn't have a great quarterfinal against Switzerland.
That's been his poorest game of the tournament, but every other game he's been a decisive presence.
I mean, Switzerland were poor first half, an excellent second half, and then Breland Bolo gets sent off, I think, rightly, although slightly odd circumstances.
But it is a dive.
His first yellow was a clear yellow.
