He was speaking to the audience back home.
So often we hear him speaking in English because he's speaking to the audience in America.
But he was telling the audience back home in Israel, everything's fine.
We're still very close.
It was a great meeting.
But I think it was probably
quite tense because we know from US reporting that Netanyahu was the one that convinced Donald Trump to join this war in Iran.
He made a lot of promises about how quickly the regime might fall, how easy it would be to secure the nuclear program.
And we know that hasn't come to pass.
Yeah, I think that one of the awkward things with Benjamin Netanyahu is that he is such a prominent figure in the US media ecosystem.
And so he is often there on Fox News, on other media outlets, speaking to journalists because he does it so well.
And I think Donald Trump's quite frustrated with this sort of twin strands of the narrative around the Iran War, that it's quite clear that Donald Trump wants to get the Strait of Hormuz open again.
again, he wants to get oil flowing again, and then he probably just wants to get out of there.
Whereas for Benjamin Netanyahu, the best thing for Israel for him right now would be for this war to restart, for it to be going guns blazing again, and for them to try and destabilize the Iranian regime a bit, because that's really his goal.
Yeah, it's it's it's one of the big questions that I think people will continue to ask long after both of those men have left office.
What was holding these two men together?
Netanyahu has asked every single president since Bill Clinton to join him in a bombing campaign against Iran, and only one of them has agreed to do it, Donald Trump.
And you know, Donald Trump has basically given Netanyahu everything he wants.
He moved the embassy, the American embassy, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
