It's not clear quite what Donald Trump, who is such a mercurial figure, what he's getting out of this.
Yes.
Now we are not decoding Israel.
That's true.
But I would make the case, and you'll have to follow me here, that Benjamin Netanyahu is as much a product of America as he is a product of Israel.
Perhaps even more so American in in many, many ways.
And let me explain why.
So Benjamin Netanyahu, he grew up, most of his childhood in his schooling was in America.
His father worked in America.
You know, in Israel he's known as BB.
That's his nickname.
But when he was at school in America, he was Ben.
And it's kind of these two figures that we can think about: the American Ben and the Israeli Bibi.
And he is shaped by America.
He, his love of capitalism, his hatred of socialism, his utter impatience with liberals.
